The New Girl

A busy corridor lined with numbered doors is where it begins, with two people hunting for the same room 204. He is new, she says she is new too, and she suggests they get lost together. She asks right away if he has a girlfriend, and he names Chloe, who asked him to be good on day one. Then Emilia remembers she left her books in her room around the corner and asks him to help carry them, promising it will take five minutes.

   They collide in a hallway, both looking for room 204. Emilia asks whether he is taken and hears about Chloe. She leads him to her room to fetch some forgotten books, invites him in and tells him not to be shy. When he reaches for the books she says no and tells him to sit, offering to show him her notes.

   Still in the room, he insists he is taken and this cannot happen. Emilia says she needs to change and asks if Chloe is the jealous type. The phone lights up with Chloe's name, and Emilia makes him answer. He tells Chloe he cannot meet her, then Emilia says they have ten minutes and that Chloe never has to hear about it.
