A glass-walled office, a packed suit bag and a hotel booked for a married couple set things up. Gia runs the company with her husband, the CEO, and the biggest deal of the year hangs on Richard, a client who only signs with people who bring a spouse. Her husband pulls out. The new guy on staff, a man in his twenties with a girlfriend at home, is told to pack a suit and play the husband.

   In the office, the problem is spelled out: Richard expects a spouse at the table. Gia picks the new guy and tells him he is her plus one. On the phone, his girlfriend asks whether the scary boss is being nice. At dinner the client raises a glass to the happy couple, and Gia murmurs to her pretend husband to breathe.

   The act moves from the dinner table to the hotel, where the booking matches the story: one room for a married couple. Gia keeps playing the wife wherever Richard can see, and the new hire keeps trying to look like a husband. Away from the client, she tells him the pretending does not stop at the door, and it does not switch off cleanly.

How bold it gets

Mostly talk and teasing: a fake marriage, a toast and Gia's line about not biting until asked. The sources point to a shared room but show nothing more than charged closeness.
