She's My Girlfriend's Little Sister

A small coffee shop with a counter and an espresso machine becomes their meeting place. The sister works there and keeps a notebook where she writes what she cannot say out loud. Her sister trusts her completely with the boyfriend. He drops in for coffee, and the two have become friends over talk about writing. He has started to look at her differently, and she has just written down exactly what she wants.

   Behind the counter she finishes a line in her notebook, then looks up to find her sister's boyfriend ordering. He asks what she is writing; she refuses to show him. He says he likes that she gets the habit, then mentions trouble at home and talk of opening things up. He admits there is someone on his mind. Her sister calls.

   He tells her he thinks about her more than he should. She asks if he is out of his mind and reminds him whose boyfriend he is. They move to the car to talk away from the café. Both keep saying it is wrong, and one asks the other to say stop, knowing neither will.

How bold it gets

Mostly confession and tension: a written admission, an open declaration and a charged moment in a parked car. The sources suggest closeness, not much more.
