Kiss the Bride, Stepbro

Kiss the Bride, Stepbro casts Leo as the rehearsal groom over 5 episodes, because Ava's fiancé Brad is never free of work long enough to practice. He rehearses vows, holds her for the kiss and helps with the dress. The screen mostly shows rehearsal play-acting, a corset fitting and open flirting.

On screen

A family home turned into a rehearsal space holds vows on paper and an after-party dress waiting upstairs. Ava is engaged to Brad, who calls her babe and is too busy to practice. She drafts her stepbrother Leo to play the groom, from where to hold her to the line about kissing the bride. Brad, on the phone, calls Leo harmless. Ava wants a groom who notices her; Leo wants to prove Brad wrong.

Episode by episode

Ep. 1Standing in for Bradno account
Ava drags Leo inside and announces he will play Brad for the day. She moves his hands to where she wants them rather than where Brad holds her. On a call, Brad approves the stand-in and calls him harmless. Leo improvises a vow about noticing when she goes quiet, and when the officiant's line comes up, Ava decides to test Brad's description.
Ep. 2Tighter, then the kissfree account
Upstairs, Ava slips into her reception gown and asks his opinion; he tells her she looks like a fairy tale. She has him lace it tighter, then a bit looser. They return to the kiss line. When a voice downstairs asks for Ava, she hushes him and declares a jump straight to the wedding night.
